Northville urgent care is not a Primary Care office and does not treat chronic conditions. We provide
treatment of urgent and emergent conditions. All patients that have a primary physician are referred back for follow up. Patients
who do not have a primary care physician and are determined to have a condition that requires one will be referred to a primary
care physician who is accepting new patients. If you would like to be on our referral list, please contact us.
Frequently Asked Questions Q. What forms
of payment do you accept? A. We accept: - Visa
- MasterCard - American Express - Discover
- Check - Cash Q. What do I need
to bring with me? A. Please bring a photo ID and your insurance card with you when you visit our center.
Please be sure to let our staff know of ANY allergies, current medications and your medical history.
Q.
What is the difference between Urgent Care and Emergency Care? A. Basically emergency care
refers to those things which could be beyond the scope of any urgent care center, as they could prove to be life-threatening
and thus require the full resources of a hospital. Q.
Does Northville Urgent Care Center replace my primary care physician? A. No, at Northville
Urgent Care Center, our goal is not to replace your primary care physician but to be available, when their office may be closed
or when it is impractical to be seen by them promptly.
Q. When should I use an urgent care
center rather than my regular doctor? A. Use your regular doctor when you can. We are here to
assist in your care if you cannot schedule a convenient appointment. You will find the urgent care can handle your problem
promptly.
Q. Why not use the Emergency Room? A. If you have
a true life threatening emergency, you must go to an emergency room. However, most patients do not need the expense and delay
of the emergency room for urgent illnesses/injuries.
Q. Do we work with other doctors? A. We often act as firemen for your regular doctors. We see patients when your doctor is out, after
hours, weekends and holidays. We handle the urgent problem immediately and refer back to the primary care doctor the next
day.
Q. Do you refer patients to specialists? A. Yes. We handle
immediately urgent problems such as sprains, fractures, lacerations, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, etc. and refer patients
to the appropriate specialist the next day or immediately if the illness warrants.
Q. Is
x-ray available? A. Yes. We have x-ray facilities on site with x-ray technicians on staff.
Q. Do your doctors have regular patients? A. NO, Since we are a
walk-in urgent care center, our emphasis is on the urgent care patient.
Q.
If I make an appointment, will I be seen on time? A. Usually, but we are an urgent care center
and we take patients as they arrive.
Q. Do we see patients with urgent illnesses? A.
We will see patients for almost anything: bladder-infections, flu, colds, high blood pressure checks, minor trauma, fractures,
lacerations, ear wax removal, rashes, bites, muscular pains, etc.
